It's been a while. I'm still here. Still pregnant. 38 weeks tomorrow, in fact. I waffle between spurts of energy and sleep walking all day long. I'm in full-blown nesting mode. Baby is in position and we're waiting somewhat patiently to meet the little guy.
Here's what else has been happening around here:
*My sweet babies have been curling up together at night lately. Maybe it's just because it's a bit chilly now, but I prefer to think that they really do just love each other. Keith and I sneak in every night before we head to bed and are always amused by what we find. This night, they were over at my parents' house in pack 'n plays, and L had climbed into G's. They had pulled up the mattress and were sleeping underneath it. Not very comfy, but super sweet.
*The baby's room is almost finished. This photo is from a few weeks ago, and it's come pretty far since then. I've just got to make a mobile and it'll be done. I'll share tons of photos when it is, but this is a sneak peek for now.
*I was so honored to be asked to participate in West Elm's Local event at their Atlantic Station shop. WE is such an awesome store, and I love how willing they are to carry handmade goods and collaborate with small fry like G&L. If you're in Atlanta, stop by and check out our prints and growth charts! (It was hard to get a good shot of the growth chart behind the kids, but I was just over the moon to see our stuff in the shop!)
*I just found this upholstery cleaner after trying everything to get some tough spots out of our sofa pillows. It's amazing. It's non-toxic, non-irritating, non-flammable, solvent-free, CFC-free, odor-free, and petroleum-free. So I have no idea what is in it, but it works amazingly! Just squirt it on and rub it in a little, and the spots disappear. It's a life-saver for this messy household.
*We took the kids trick-or-treating again this year. We're so conflicted about the holiday, but Shannan's post just about sums up our thoughts and encouraged us to embrace the chance to get to know our neighbors a little better. G was a dragon, L was a poodle. It's what my mom happened to have in the dress-up closet at home, so we went with it. The kids had a blast, we chatted up the neighbors, and I sent bags of candy to work with Keith the next day :)
*And jumping right into Christmas.....check out this great advent reading plan using the Jesus Storybook Bible. We are huge fans of the JSB around here, and I'm so excited to share the story of God's redemptive plan with the kids at Christmas this year using this plan.
*This. Happy Wednesday!
