What's Going On....

It's been a busy week or two.  Not so much with actual events, just with the busy-ness of having two babies.  So here is a summary of sorts of random tid-bits happening at our house, in my shop, and in my brain:

*We now have two crawlers.  Gus started moving about two weeks ago, and Lula followed a few days ago.  On the lookout for a play yard.  Quick.

*I designed a few new prints for the shop and sent them off to the printer late one night after the kids had been put to bed.
{Keith coined this phrase while we were in Ethiopia, sharing a guest house room with the babies.  Crying stresses him out.}

Apparently too late at night.  I somehow overlooked this little mess:
Luckily I only ordered 10 to start.  I do need to unload them, though, so I'm offering them here at 50% off ($7 each).  If anyone's interested (and not too OCD to mind) email me.  More (perfect) prints will be available soon in my shop.

Also created a chalkboard-looking version:

*Two other new prints available in the shop

*Pinterest.  So many pretty pictures, so little time.  I think what I like so much about Pinterest is that I can indulge my mercurial design tastes.  You can find pretty pictures ranging from pretty and polished to weathered rustic:
from cheery and bold to soft and serene:
from light and airy to moody high-contrast:
Images via: here. here. here. here. here. & here.
So many looks to love.  Thank you, pinterest.

*Moving on.  I had a birthday last weekend (26).  I got horribly spoiled by my wonderful husband: a yellow clutch and wooden bead bib necklace (both from my etsy favorites - smart guy, eh?), and a family photo session.  Can't wait to see how the pictures turn out!

*The amazing Emily over at Jones Design Co. has shared four adorable printable beach bag tags and a tutorial for assembling them here.  Emily always has the best ideas and the cutest designs.  Thanks for sharing!

*And lastly, I've been singing to Gus and Lula during the day.  I've found that it makes us all a little less grouchy as the afternoon wears on, and we all get a good laugh out of my horrible pitch.  I'd love to tell you I've been singing hymns or children's worship songs (which I sometimes do), but recently I've been singing Carry On My Wayward Son.  I'm wondering if I subconsciously chose it because of the lyrics: "Lay your weary head to rest, don't you cry no more.....".  Very appropriate for two sometimes-fussy 9 month-olds.

Would you mind sharing what printer you use? I'd like to design some stuff for my own home but the at home printer just isn't cutting it! I love your blog and your babies are just beautiful!

MrsSouthernBelle - I use a local printer, though I believe there are franchises around Georgia. Minuteman Press. Hope that helps!

Beautiful prints, Britt! And I just had to get a giggle out of the thought of you singing classic rock to your sweet babies. I love it.

I am so glad I found you again. Hope you and lovely babies are doing well. Tell hubby the sleep will return soon. Treasure these precious days when they are babies because they grow so fast!
