I'm baaack......

I spent this past week in Cherokee, North Carolina where a group from my church has been ministering to the children and youth for the past twelve years.  It was a wonderful, amazing, emotionally & physically exhausting trip.  So good.
Can you see me peeking through?  I'm on the back row, smack dab in the middle.

This is the group of girls I worked with all week.  High schoolers.  Definitely out of my comfort zone, but God was so good and provided for us all week as we had some very intense discussions about the gospel, life, guys, parents.....you name it.  These girls are so precious and desperately needed to know that they are loved and accepted.  I hope that was accomplished in at least a small way.

I am so full of emotions....I feel like it will take me awhile to process everything.  If anyone would like more information about Cherokee or about working with Mission to the World, please let me know.

I also want to say a BIG thank you to my big sister, Brooke, for filling in for me on very late notice.  I had scheduled two posts for last week, but late Friday night I decided it might be nice to have one additional post, so I sent a quick email to Brooke asking if she'd like to write a post sometime during the week.  I got home this weekend to find four posts!  You've always been an over-achiever, Brooke.  I'm just glad I finally got to benefit from it  :)

I'll be back later this week with another wall art idea and maybe a DIY nursery project, too!

Sounds like a wonderful time. The children & youth at our church had camp last week too! I loved hearing their testimonies Sunday. I'm so glad to know God is still in the miracle working business. :)

Wow!! Isn't it amazing how when we go to "help" someone, we are usually the ones changed the most? My husband I leave for West Africa on Friday. I'm nervous about leaving my 3 babies, but excited to see God famous among the nations. I know I'll be different. Can't wait to hear more about your trip!
