Sunday Morning {Ramblings}

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything; you may have an abundance for every good deed.
~ 2 Corinthians 9:8
~ I know I don't often share my personal "stuff" here, but I experienced God's grace this past week and I just have to share it.~

This week started out as a major let-down for us.  We received our FBI fingerprints (one of many sets of fingerprints we've had done for the adoption) back in the mail -- rejected.  After two months of waiting.  Which meant that we would have to wait at least another two months to even send all our paperwork to Ethiopia, and I found out that the wait times after paperwork was received in Ethiopia had increased by a few months!  So we were looking at extending our adoption time-line several months.  I was less than thrilled.  I had a pity party.  I moped and cried.
And then I was reminded that God is in control and He will give us all that we need to get through this; that our hope should be in Him.  And I had peace about the situation.  I wasn't necessarily happy about it, but I felt at peace.
And then miraculously, we found we could use a different background check in place of the FBI one, and we should be able to send our paperwork to Ethiopia in about two weeks!  And on top of that, we found out on Monday that our agency has signed contracts with two new orphanages, which will drastically decrease our wait time for a referral.  God is so good.  I am so thankful to have experienced his wonderful grace this week.

Thanks for letting me share.  Have a wonderful Sunday!

The best thing about this is that you had let it all go BEFORE you found out all of the good news!

Thats great! His way is always the best, even when we TOTALLY don't feel like it is. =)
I didn't know you were adopting, that is wonderful. We've been trying to get pregnant for about a year and a half, so it is something that has starting crossing my mind. I would love to hear more about it.

It is so wonderful to see God in action, isn't it?! So glad things are looking up for you and you are looking to Him for guidance! :) If only we could all do that, things would be so much smoother!
