I have an obsession for lighting. I would have a chandelier in every room if I could afford it, and when we moved I brought 6 lights from our last house. So when I found this great fixture at J.C. Penney outlet for $20 I had to have it! (More on the JCP outlet later.)
It works great in our breakfast room above the table, but when I tried to find 2 lights for the kitchen that coordinated I couldn't find anything. Then I saw this on Horchow's website:
And it was perfect. Except the $350 price tag. But I had seen lamps at target with similar glass balls, and I knew there had to be a way to turn them into hanging fixtures. A little bit of guesswork, and this is what I ended up with:
